This is description

🇰🇷 Why are North and South Korea still enemies? Once united as the Korean Empire, this land is now divided by one of the most heavily guarded borders on Earth: the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). After Japan’s annexation in 1910 and its defeat in World War II, Soviet troops entered from the north while the U.S. advanced from the south. To stop full Soviet control, the peninsula was split along the 38th parallel, meant to be temporary, but the Cold War turned it into a permanent divide. 💣 Two ideologies clashed: communism vs capitalism, North vs South, each believing the entire peninsula should be united under its own rule. This tension ignited the Korean War, one of the deadliest conflicts of the 20th century. The U.S. and UN supported the South, while China and the USSR backed the North. ⚔️ Millions died and though an armistice was signed in 1953, no peace treaty ever followed. To this day, North and South Korea remain technically at war, separated by walls, mines, and soldiers.
